This is what I did as a kid, making movies in the days before video. (I'm shooting 8mm film).

After school I got a job in broadcast news and current affairs and worked my way up to Executive Producer, writing and producing network documentaries and news magazines. I started writing articles as spin-offs from my TV work and now I write professionally for a bunch of specialty print and online publications.

I treat Medium as my creative outlet because I can write about stuff that doesn't tick my clientele's boxes. I'm particularly drawn to unusual, quirky history such as my Medium piece on President Arthur's grandson and a 1930's squatter community in southern California. Check it out.
